Found some raw scans for the last few chapters of Get Backer the other day and I totally hate the way it ended. Ban who’s been like the strongest and the coolest guy (Also my fav char) in the anime, (who pretty much beat everyone without standing around yelling (or crying) like Ginji (When Going to Raetei form) or Goku from Dragon Ball Z for like 5 minutes) gets all bloodied up in the final fight against Jackal (The guy he beat with like 1 move, without using his true power, in the anime) and dies =/. I was like “wtf??”. Of course this isn’t really the ending (although it would’ve been better if they ended it here, atleast ban wouldn’t have had to live after that horrible defeat). Somehow, ban (and a whole bunch of other dudes that I don’t really care about) is brought back to life and back to the way he was before this huge final fight (translation from the site said Ginji made it that way since he’s like the king of creation or some shit, although I’ve found different versions on other sites, like jackal didn’t finish him off because ban let him learn about his true power and stuff). Then they all walk into the sunset, yay another happy ending =/
